Answers to Your Mobile & In-Home Personal Training Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use my HSA or FSA to pay for personal training?2026-05-05T20:55:27+00:00

Yes! Because Concierge Personal Training specializes in senior fitness, post-rehabilitation, and chronic pain management (like arthritis or osteoporosis), our services often qualify as a medical expense. To use your HSA/FSA funds, the IRS typically requires that the training is used to treat or prevent a specific medical condition.

How do I get started with HSA or FSA payments?2026-05-05T20:56:16+00:00

There are two ways to pay:

  1. Direct Payment: If you have an HSA/FSA debit card, you can use it just like a credit card at checkout for both our in-person sessions in San Diego and our online Zoom sessions.

  2. Reimbursement: You can pay with your preferred credit card and we will provide a detailed receipt for you to submit to your provider for reimbursement.

Do FSA or HSA payments apply to Online (Zoom) training too?2026-05-05T20:57:49+00:00

Absolutely. As long as the training is prescribed for a medical condition, the IRS does not distinguish between in-person and virtual sessions. Our online program includes the same therapeutic exercises and form correction as our in-home sessions.

Can I pay with FSA or HSA for “general fitness”?2026-05-05T20:59:22+00:00

Per IRS guidelines, general health and wellness (weight loss without a medical diagnosis or general gym use) is usually not covered. However, since we bridge the gap between physical therapy and personal training, many of our clients already meet the criteria for medical necessity. We recommend checking with your doctor during your next visit.

How is in home personal training different from gym training?2026-03-31T07:21:52+00:00

With In Home Personal Training you train in the comfort of your own home. You can avoid  the meat market and the unnecessary gym gawkers. You don’t have to sit on sweaty gym equipment. You get to cut out traffic and drive time for your added convenience. You can listen to your own music. There are not any distractions. It’s a personalized workout tailored just for you. You’re more comfortable in your own space which leads to a better workout and better results.

Do I need to have gym equipment or a home gym?2026-03-31T00:44:14+00:00

No, with In Home Personal Training we bring all of the gym equipment you will need. We have every piece of workout equipment that moves.

Can more than one person train at a time?2026-03-31T00:44:09+00:00

Is it okay to have pets and kids in the house?2026-03-31T00:44:04+00:00

How much is In Home Personal Training? What is the cost of an In Home Personal Trainer?2026-03-31T00:43:58+00:00

Conventional gyms charge a monthly membership on average of $40-$75/month and then you pay $90-$150 an hour for Personal Training on top of that. For Concierge Personal Training it’s just $95 for an hour long session. The sessions never expire. You also won’t pay an additional monthly membership fee.

What are the benefits of an In Home Personal Trainer?2026-03-31T00:43:52+00:00

Safety is our number one priority. All trainers at Concierge  Personal Training have degrees in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Physical Therapy. We want to safely build lean muscle in order to lose fat and gain strength. We also focus on balance and core strength training.

What if I go out of town and can’t train, will I still be charged?2026-03-31T00:43:48+00:00

No, we have a 12 hour cancellation policy. You can reschedule for any reason and we will hold your day/time for when you get back.
